QUE FUERTE LO QUE ESCRIBIO LATIN TIMES SOBRE LA SALIDA DE NEIDA SANDOVAL DE TELEMUNDO…
Neida Sandoval was let go from Telemundo with no explanation to viewers and, worst of all, to the veteran journalist. The “Un Nuevo Día” news anchor was made aware the network would not renew her contract and was told that same day would be her last on screen.
Now, an insider is revealing the possible truth of what happened behind the scenes and why she wasfired so abruptly. The source alleges that María Celeste Arrarás was the target of Sandoval and co-workers. After an internal investigation was conducted, it was found that the Honduran anchor was guilty, which led to her dismissal.
After the Republican Debate that Arrarás took part in with fellow “Noticiero Telemundo” anchor José Díaz Balart, the “Un Nuevo Día” morning show did not acknowledge María Celeste.
The insider claimed that Sandoval, along with Rashel Diaz and producer María Lopez, decided to censor María Celeste because they were jealous. The Purto Rican journalist not only hosts the national evening newscast, but also headlines “Al Rojo Vivo.”
With Arrarás appearing on two news programs, it created inner turmoil at the network as the insider reported the aforementioned has “a monopoly on the news” division and “not allowing new and established talent to be on-air.”
The insider revealed that an investigation by parent company NBC-Universal at Telemundo found Neida Sandoval and other co-workers guilty of a personal vendetta against the “Al Rojo Vivo” host. The Spanish-language network is said to be cleaning house before the big Telemundo Upfront presentation set to take place in New York on Monday, May 16.
After news spread that Neida Sandoval was out of the company, Telemundo released the following statement: “Telemundo has confirmed Neida Sandoval’s exit from ‘Un Nuevo Día’ and released the following statement: ‘Neida Sandoval is no longer working with us. We appreciate her numerous contributions to Telemundo and wish her all the best in her future professional endeavors.'”
On her part, Neida Sandoval took to Facebook to express her sentiments following her dismissal. “Because I couldn’t say goodbye on the show that was still live while I received the ‘unpleasant news,’ I decided to clear this recent event in my life with my own handwriting,” she wrote in Spanish.
“I would also like to share that I am very grateful with my colleagues, friends and co-workers at the Telemundo network who showed me a lot of respect since the day I got to the network. Amidst hugs I said farewell to the Telemundo network, last Friday, that opened their arms cordially a couple years ago and that has now decided to say goodbye to me without much explanation.”
